NOW is an excellent time to sell your property

As we make our way into 2022, the property market has continued to outperform all expectations. Following the end of the first lockdown when the property market opened back up, it has taken off. There are no signs of it slowing down.

We are also seeing many properties achieving sale prices well above both the asking price and the Home Report value. This is currently a seller’s market so if you are thinking of selling, this is now an excellent time to sell your property.

Do estate agents agree this is an excellent time to sell your property?

We recently heard from one of our estate agency colleagues and this is what she had to say:

“Despite the rollercoaster of 2021, the Scottish property market has had a stronger period of growth than many could have ever expected and we believe that the property market (from vendors & homebuyers to tenants & landlords & investors) – has proven to be extraordinarily robust.”

We act for both sellers and purchasers of residential property.

Martin Berman, our senior partner, commented:

“This is an excellent time to sell your property. It is a seller’s market and every property sale we’ve dealt with has sold in excess of both the asking and Home Report price. The market doesn’t look like it is going to slow down any time soon. We are advising clients who are thinking about selling that now is an excellent time to sell your property”

If you are planning on buying a new house, it can be tough. However, recent experience shows that home movers are well able to compete in this market having received a full price for their own property.
